The Hungarian Rectors’ Conference and the Embassy of Hungary in Brazil has co-organized two alumni meetings for previous Hungarian CSF-ers. The events took place in Fortaleza on 18 April at the Faculdade de 7 Setembro and in Belo Horizonte on 20 April at the Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais.
At the events, welcome speech was given by Hungary’s Ambassador Norbert Konkoly, Dr Zoltán Dubéczi, Secretary General of the HRC and Head of the CSF Programme, summarized the results achieved in the framework of the CSF programme and introduced the Hungarian Language and Culture course held at the University of Sao Paolo, while Dr Balázs Vince Nagy, South-American Representative of the HRC, gave an interactive lecture about Hungary and the possibilities to pursue academic or research activity in Hungary.
After the speeches, the guests were invited for a reception, which provided the opportunity to get to know each other, recall the past memories and discuss the future plans over a drink.
It was great to see that altogether more than 80 invitees took part at the event, including ex-CSF-ers, students interested in continuing their studies in Hungary, Hungarians and Hungarian descendants living in Brazil.
