The aim of the education is to provide excellent theoretical and practical skills in important branches of sustainable agriculture, based on up-to-date knowledge in natural sciences.

The main fields of special knowledge offered during the education are the following: ecology and environmental protection, plant biotechnology and resistance breeding, up-to-date production technologies of fruits, – medicinal and aromatic plants, – ornamental plants, -vegetable plants and mushrooms, organic farming, dendrology and woody plant nursery, post harvest physiology and technologies of fruit species, viticulture.

After the one-year program the participants will become good specialists and be familiar with the Hungarian and foreign agriculture, their latest scientific results and practical skills. A special role is given to the ecological approaches, quality aspects and integrated technologies. After the education, the students will be able to organise and lead the production of agricultural enterprises/farms of different size and character, carry out the tasks of farm advisers. The faculty uses the International Credit Transfer System. At the end of the education the participants get Transcript of Records about their result of examinations and obtain a Bachelor Honours Degree.
