The objective of the B.Sc. program is to provide knowledge for future environmental engineers to be able to understand and control natural environmental processes and catastrophic events. The program includes courses on global cycles, environmental techniques (including biological, mechanical etc), waste management, handling of catastrophic events, climate adaption techniques in agriculture and energy productions. The programs prepares the graduates to serve in environmental policy making authorities, plants that are performing technologies in composting, waste management, renewable energy production, remediation of polluted areas, and in other areas of conserving natural resources.
Each semester includes 5 months course work (lectures, small group seminars, laboratory sessions, field visits, group projects and exams) followed by practical training. Students are able to choose their practical training program in the following areas: composting, waste management, renewable energy production, polluted land remediation, soil conservation, waste water management, organic farming.
A preparatory program up to 2 months is available for language, European and Hungarian studies and also in technical courses for level upgrading and harmonization.
Housing is available on campus in modern dormitories with sport, meal, internet and other facilities.
